The Brown Siblings Are Home
After a 7 month battle with Rockingham County Child Protective Services in North Carolina, the Brown Family has been reunited.
What is OPERATION STOP CPS?
Our MISSION is to fight against the relationship that Black people have with the colonial state institution called Child Protective Services(CPS). In every state CPS acts as virtually a kidnapping gang to carry out its role in keeping black people powerless politically, economically and socially. We believe that the oppressive actions of CPS agencies all over the U.S., taking African children away from their parents and their communities, represents a symptom of the primary problem facing Black people, colonialism.
Colonialism occurs when a people are dominated politically, socially and economically by a foreign and alien state power. The foreign and alien state power oppressing Africans is that of the U.S which was born through a process of genocide and slavery.
Our MISSION is to do our part to end this colonial domination.
What We Want and What We Believe
- The Black community must have political power, self-determination and the power to determine what happens with our childrens’ educational, and social lives.
- We believe that while the CPS system represents a vicious symptom of colonialism, the ultimate aim must be the end of colonialism itself and the building of a society where the collective welfare of the African nation is the primary objective.
- We want the immediate abolishment of CPS all over the U.S. and Black community control of the welfare of African children
- We want international condemnation of the U.S. government for the continued genocide against African people through the state kidnapping of African children.
Meet the Founders Behind the Movement
Hi Family, we’re Amanda and Tafarrah, founders of Operation Stop CPS. We are two seasoned pros in the field of Child Protection. While working on the frontlines protecting children from abuse and neglect, Amanda Wallace and Tafarrah Austin, simultaneously worked to protect families from the oppressive Child Protection System. Unlike many state workers, these women saw the colonial system up close and decided to do something about it. The unchecked power of the Child Protection System that makes parents and caretakers fearful that their children will be kidnapped into state custody causing them to comply and consent to oppressive laws and policies.
Operation STOP CPS's goal is to educate society on the Child Protection System to unmask the systematic oppression that has continued to wreak havoc on the Lives of Families. Over the last decade the founders of Operation Stop CPS were trained as social workers. They were trained on what to do after a report of abuse and/or neglect is received by the state. Both these comrades found over time that the real enemy in these situations was the state itself!
Now we struggle for a higher purpose to overturn the system of colonialism from our vantage point.
